Friday Finally!!

This week seemed to dragged by. I had a realtively busy week, too! I had depositions most days and got a big deposition out. Got to go shopping with Courtney & Hana. And survived the winds! Yesterday when I was leaving my deposition, as I was opening the back of my car to put my case in, it was blown over by the wind and actually moved a bit. That thing weighs at good 50 pounds!! At one point, the thought crossed my mind that if I weighed any less, I don't know that I could stay standing. It was blowing soooo hard. Once I finally got in my car, I could feel the back of it lifting up a bit from the wind. Freaky!! But the winds finally died down today thankfully. It would have been nice if there was cool air blowing in with the winds, but there wasn't. Actually it feels cooler to me today than it did yesterday. Today I had two depos in a new case for an attorney I work for quite a bit, and it's a good case. 4 copies!! Wahoo!! Let's hope there are lots and lots and lots of people to be deposed. LOL Who knows when those will be though. All the attorneys were talking about the vacations they'll be taking now that it's summer. Also found out that an attorney I had to sue to get payment on some invoices paid most of what he owed. He still owes some and will pay it, but he did make a substantial payment thankfully! That's been one long, drawn out ordeal.

Tomorrow is my friend Lori's birthday. So tonight all the girls (minus Mary Ann ~ she's in NYC) are getting together at Olive Garden to have dinner and chitchat. Above is the card I made for Lori. It's pretty cute, if I do say so myself! I may make one more before we meet for dinner. The pink of the ribbon matches the pink on the card more than it does in the picture. Trust me! LOL The talk of the possible movie has been that new Adam Sandler. Not sure about it, but I'd rather see it than Sex in the City. While I liked the series, I didn't miss it too terribly much. I can wait for DVD for it. Plus, it's 2-1/2 hours long!!

Big plans for the weekend: Do Nothing!! I have one small job to work on. Otherwise, I have some movies to watch: Semi-Pro and National Treasure 2. I'll report back how they are. Also, I may go ahead and get my table for my craft room and work on getting that all set up and organized. I'm thinking I'll be needing some shortage carts/organizers too for all the stuff I have. It's crazy the amount of stuff I have. Crazy!! It's kind of like the stickers I used to buy when I was younger. I just had to have them, but then wouldn't use them. They were too pretty! I'm trying to get over that and USE all my paper, etc., I buy.

One last thing: Rowdy is getting old! In the last year it's become more and more noticeable. He no longer can jump up or down off my bed or even the couch. He's not seeing as well as anymore. Lastly, I don't think he can hear as well anymore. More and more when I get home, I come in and have all my stuff and make it into the living room and find him sleeping/laying there. I look to make sure he's still breathing because he's not moved with all the noise I'm making. Finally, he jerks like he's startled anyone is there. I just know I'm going to come home one day soon (although, hopefully not too soon!) and find him just laying there not breathing. I really hope I'm wrong!

The card is precious, but the bit about Rowdy made me cry. I am crying as I type! Poor guy. I know how you feel though. Pagan's age is really showing these days too. =(

Oh, and something else...I still have some of your stickers. Seriously. Remember, you gave them to me and then I never used them either, I just added to the collection! They're in a turquoise book that says
"stickers" on the cover. I tried to use them a year or so ago and most of them weren't even sticky anymore. I'll try to remember to get the book out next time you come over!
