And another Monday is nearly done. Today wasn't too terrible. Got some work done, got the kitchen cleaned up, and got all my trash gathered up and put out. Same old, same old. I did go to Hobby Lobby and look over all their stuff on sale. Picked up a couple of things. I'm probably going to have to hit the big new one in Frisco this week, just to see. It's not like I need any more scrapbooking/crafting stuff! I've got to get my craft station together in my office.
Here's a warning: Vegetable Oil goes bad! I made some brownies yesterday. I was so happy because I had just enough vegetable oil for the mix. Made them all up and baked them. Smelled so yummy. Got them out, let them cool (as long as I could) cut off a corner and took a bite. It wasn't good. Tasted nasty, like old oil. Got my vegetable oil bottle out of the recycling and saw it expired in Feb '08. I guess it makes sense it could go bad, just never really thought about it. So today I put all the brownies in the trash. They were not good! I'm sure y'all all know it goes bad, but just saying check the expiration date!
I watched The Darwin Awards over the weekend. It's kind of an independent film. Although, there were tons of actors that I recognized in it. The two main parts are played by Joseph Fiennes and Winona Ryder. It was so-so. Had some funny parts. Nothing spectatular.
Then I watched the new series on USA called In Plain Sight. It was okay. It was the first episode and I'll definitely watch it some more. For the Dancing with the Stars folks, Cristian is in it. I think he's going to be a recurring character. The only early complaint I have with it is I think it's set in Arizona maybe. Somewhere where there's desert and Native Americans. Maybe New Mexico. Anyway, the gist of the show is a US Marshal that helps relocate witnesses in the Witness Protection Program. So are we to assume, if it's a long-running series, that most of either Arizona or New Mexico is filled with people in the WPP??
The excitement of the day was seeing on the news that they caught The Scarecrow Bandits that had been robbing banks in the DFW area. There was a police chase that ended at the Costco right by my house! I had to call Courtney and tell her. Never knew it was happening other than I saw it on TV.
